referral websites

i post on message boards to advertise the website, and many websites do not convert website addresses to actual links
so unfortunately, many of my uniques show up because of this, yet they dont show up on referral websites!
my ratio of referral websites to uniques is 166-330
i know you have a strict policy but it feels as though all my efforts have been in vain......
